Observation

The first section is a "child" section and in Mark a child section does not follow paragraph patterning.
If Matthew is following the same lines of structure-building as Mark
there would not be obvious clues about 'structuring' in a "child" section. However.

Question:

How does Matthew divide off his account of the crucifixion from what goes before?

Consider this sentence as a section ending
It comes just before the crucifixion story.
So now we may have a Section A A4 pages 1-4
An ending to a second last section A4 page 40 back to p.34
and the last section about the crucifixion
